SanDisk introduces enterprise SSD, plans to release larger storage variants by 2015

SanDisk has starting aiming towards the enterprise market involving solid state drives, and the storage maker plans to do so with large storage variants between 4TB and 8TB. These drives should be available by 2015. SanDisk stated that its 4TB Optimus Max SCSI SSD is the most ideal option for datacentre storage. The company will be using its 19nm manufacturing process. The 6TB and 8TB variants will be released in 2015.

SanDisk also releases Lightning Generation II series which uses 12Gb/s SAS interface. This drive will feature Instant Secure Erase an MTBF of 2.5 million hours. It backed up with 5 years warranty period. The 4TB Lightning Generation II variant should be out by Q3 2014.
